Notifications keep teams informed about important events happening with their data products and access requests in Entropy Data.

Notification Channels

Teams can set up notification channels to receive real-time alerts via:

In addition, Entropy Data sends emails for many of these events. Organization owners can customize their wording or switch them off, see Email Templates.

Notification Types

Access Requests

  • Access Requested - When access is requested for your data products
  • Access Approved - When your access request has been approved
  • Access Added - When access to a data product has been granted
  • Access Auto-Approved - When access is automatically approved
  • Access Rejected - When your access request has been rejected
  • Access Terminated - When an access is terminated, including the date the access ends
  • Access Ended - When an access has reached its end date and is no longer active

Change Requests

  • Change Requested - When a change is requested for your data products or contracts
  • Change Request Approved - When your change request has been approved
  • Change Request Rejected - When your change request has been rejected

Data Contract Tests

  • Quality Check Failed - When a data contract test fails
  • Quality Check Keeps Failing - When a data contract test continues to fail over multiple attempts
  • Quality Check Recovered - When a previously failing data contract test passes again

Data Products

  • Data Product Created - When a new data product is created in your organization
  • Data Product Deleted - When a data product is deleted from your organization
